The Brindavan Express departed from MAS (Chennai Central) at 7:45 AM as scheduled. While cruising at speeds close to 130 km/h, the Loco Pilot noticed abnormal issues in the locomotive. After reaching AJJ (Arakkonam Junction), the crew inspected the loco and discovered that one of the pantographs was damaged. Due to the pantograph failure, the locomotive was unable to draw power from the overhead equipment and could not proceed further, resulting in a complete loco failure.
